Lemon Ginger Syrup

  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Ginger, grated

  • Peels from 2 Lemons

  • 1/2 Cup Honey

  • 1 Cup Water

  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced

  • Sparkling Water, to top glass

  • 3-5 Tablespoons of Lemon Ginger Syrup

  • Lemon Slices & Fresh Mint Leaves, to garnish

How To Make Lemon Ginger Fizz

In a small pot add grated ginger, lemon peels, honey and water. Bring this mixture to a light boil and simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until you see it has lightly thickened. Once the Ginger Lemon Syrup is ready, set it aside and allow it too cool slightly.

In a glass, add ice about halfway. Juice 1/2 lemon (or more if you want) into the glass and add 3-5 tablespoons of the Ginger Lemon Syrup*. Start by adding a small amount of syrup and taste the drink and adjust it to your liking. Top the drink with sparkling water. **Optionally: you can add a shot of vodka or other liquor of choice to make this a cocktail.

Garnish your drink with lemon slices and a few mint leaves. Enjoy! 🙂
