MY INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS RECIPE

I remember years ago I would date a date and dip it in peanut butter and add chocolate chips as a healthy snack. I thought this was so innovative and creative haha. Now Date Snicker Bites are trending and I think that is so funnt becuase its something I LOVE! These Date Snicker Bites are such a great health-ish snack or dessert. Get creative and add different nut butter fillings or different nuts for crunch! 🍫

Carefully slice each date lengthwise to create an opening. Remove the pit from each date.

Using a small spoon, fill each date with a generous amount of peanut butter. Press the sides together to close the dates.

Delicately insert chopped peanuts (or other nuts of choice) into the date. Seal the dates by pressing the sides together. Place the dates on a parchment-lined tray.

In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together, stirring until smooth.

Dip each stuffed and nut-coated date into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork to lift the dates out of the chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.

Immediately sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the chocolate-covered dates. This enhances the flavour.

Place the chocolate-covered dates back on the parchment-lined tray and chill them in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate hardens.
