Celebrate the holidays with this dirty chai espresso martini. Warm and comforting flavours of the chai and vanilla syrup. Topped with your milk of choice, brewed espresso, kahlúa, and vodka. This drink is creamy, delicious and the perfect touch to the holidays.
This dirty chai syrup is what makes this drink very special. This syrup comes together in less than 5 minutes. Add togeteher the honey, wayer, chai syrup and bring to a light boil for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and add vanilla extract, and that’s how easy it is! Add 1-2 tablespoons to your espresso martini depending on how strong of a chai flavour you would like.
This syrup is actually enough for 4-6 martinis. You could also add this syrup to your coffee, tea or latte!
Milk of Choice
You really can add whatever milk you like. To make it extra creamy try adding milk or even cream. If you are looking for a dairy free option some other milks could include:
Coconut Milk
Soy Milk
Almond Milk
Oat Milk
For my martini I used oat milk to make it dairy free but to give it a really creamy texture!

Dirty Chai Syrup (Enough for 4-6 Drinks)
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Honey
4 Chai Tea Bags
1 Tsp Vanilla
Espresso Martini
1/2 Cup Ice
1 1/2 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Kahlúa
1 oz Espresso
1 oz of Milk of Your Choice

Stair Anise
Cinnamon or Ground Nutmeg
Instructions:
Dirty Chai Espresso Syrup
To make the dirty chai syrup, place water, honey, tea bags in a small pot. Bring the liquid to a boil and let it simmer on medium-low heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, squeeze out the liquid from the chai tea bags and remove. Add the vanilla extract, stir and set aside for now.
Espresso Martini
Optionally, you can take your cocktail glass and rim it with vanilla sugar. If you don't have vanilla sugar you can use brown sugar or regular sugar. Dip the rim in honey then dip the rim in your sugar (that is on a plate with the sugar spread out as a thin even layer). One the cocktail glass is rimmed, set it to the side for now.
In a cocktail shaker add 1-2 Tbs of your dirty chai syrup, ice, kahlúa, vodka, milk of your choice, and espresso. Place the lid on top of the shaker and shake vigorously for about 1-2 minutes.
Use a cocktail strainer (or a fine mesh strainer) over the glass and fill up your cocktail glass.
Garnish
Add a stair anise to the middle of your drink to float on top.
Use a fine mesh strainer to sprinkle over either grated nutmeg or cinnamon. Enjoy! 🙂
