Ingredients Needed

  • 2 Bunches of Asparagus, de-stemmed

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 1/2 Lemon, zested

  • 1 Lemon, juiced

  • 4 Cloves Garlic, minced

  • 1/2 Teaspoon: Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, each

  • 1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Flakes*

How To Make Lemon Garlic Roasted Asparagus

Preheat oven to 380 degrees F.

Cut off the bottom stems of the asparagus. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet.

Add oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, spices and chilli flakes on top of the asparagus on the baking sheet.

With clean hands, mix around the asparagus and massage each piece making sure all of the asparagus is evenly coated in the ingredients.

Place the asparagus in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, flipping the asparagus around halfway through.

Cook the asparagus until your preferred doneness and enjoy! 🙂

Notes + Tips for Lemon Garlic Roasted Asparagus

  • Adjust the spice level to your own taste! I like it SPICY so I added 1 tablespoon of red chilli flakes but feel free to half the chilli flakes or omit them completely. 
  • Try not to over bake the asparagus! Unless you like softer cooked veggies, try to only roast the asparagus for 20 minutes or less to ensure it will still be firm in the middle!
  • Customize the flavour of this roasted asparagus! Add more or less garlic, maybe add in some Parmesan cheese, balsamic glaze, or different herbs; the flavour options are endless!!

  • *Adjust the chilli flakes amount to your preference. If you like it spicy, add the full tablespoon, if you just want a little but of heat only add half of the tablespoon. Feel free to completely omit the chilli flakes if you dont want any spice.
