Custard Toast

Ingredients
  

Custard Toast

  • 2 Slices Bread (of your choice)*
  • 1/2 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs Maple Syrup

Maple Drizzle (optional)

  • 2 Tbs Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions
 

Custard Toast

  • In a bowl whisk together greek yogurt, egg, cinnamon and maple syrup until there are no lumps.
    1/2 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt, 1 Egg, 1/4 Tsp Cinnamon, 1 Tbs Maple Syrup
  • Indent your bread with the back of a spoon creating a "bowl" in the bread around the crust. Pour the custard mixture on the bread slices.
    2 Slices Bread (of your choice)*
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until, you see the custard has set in the middle of the toast.

Maple Drizzle

  • In a small bowl mix maple syrup, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Use this as an optional dip that you can drizzle over the custard toast once it is done cooking.
    2 Tbs Maple Syrup, 1 Tsp Cinnamon, Pinch of Salt
  • Allow to cool slightly and enjoy :)

*I used 2 slices of sourdough bread for my recipe. Feel free to use whatever you like or have.
