Roasted garlic cheese toast is a must have if you’re a bread person. The deep flavour of the garlic comes through the crispy buttery edges of the toast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Baguette
  • 2 Heads Garlic
  • 2 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 3/4 Cup Butter Softened
  • 1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, start by chopping off the tops of the 2 heads of garlic. Place garlic in a bed of tin foil or a small roasting dish if you have one. Drizzle with olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Roast in a 350 oven for 20-30 minutes or until you see the garlic turn a golden brown colour. Allow garlic to cool for about 20 minutes.
    2 Heads Garlic, 2 Tbs Olive Oil
  • In a mixing bowl combine butter, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, chilli flakes and roasted garlic. Squeeze the garlic head from the bottom and garlic should slide out easily.
    1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese,, 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese,, 1/4 Tsp Salt, 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper, 1/2 Tsp Dried Parsley, 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder, 1/2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes, 3/4 Cup Butter
  • Slice your baguette lengthwise.
    1 Baguette
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture over the baguette. Depending on how much butter you like and the size of your baguette you may have some leftover garlic butter.
  • Place garlic buttered baguette on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until you see the butter has melted and the cheese has browned.
  • Slice into 2-3 inch wide pieces and enjoy!
