Start by making the sugar cookie syrup. In a small saucepan add butter and brown it. Once butter is browned, add sugar, water, almond and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and whisk sugar to dissolve, leave to simmer for 10 minutes while whisking often. After 10 minutes turn the heat off and set aside. Once the syrup reaches room temperature pour into a mason jar.
